We don't know what might have been said. Pure speculation on my part. It certainly looks like the ref could have seen who struck first.
All things considered, it was a great game with all the drama one could want. My hat is off to both teams.
First was no head slap but a push with both hands to the shoulder. Penalty was for the slap in retaliation a push would not have drawn a penalty.
