To be honest the republican activist was a FOOL to bring his daughter there when he knew from previous experience what those thugs were capable of doing.

HE need to be charged with child endangerment as much as the union thug needs to be charged with assault!

It is not the duty of a free people to cease being free or else be prosecuted for excercising that freedom. You, sir, need an ethics adjustment.

Blame the victim for being there as much as the perp? You sound like a liberal.

You are not the only person who has made that comment and I am quite frankly sick and tired of it. Raising kids means teaching them principles and getting letting them tag along during political activities is part of how it is done. His actions are well within the bell curve of the reasonable.

Anyone who claims that going to a particular political appearance of a VP candidate with his or her children and a standard political sign is so obviously reckless endangerment should be taking action to make those venues safer, not claiming in such a patently ridiculous manner that the parent is committing a felony worthy of jail time. Many people endanger their children far more with various family activities and no one claims they ought to me prosecuted for a felony.

I kind of thought it was a bad idea too, although i do not think the guy should be charged with child endangerment.

What about bringing a 3 year old to protest the meeting of a satanic club meeting in the middle of the woods at night?

There are inherent risks associated with every activity and just because you are in the right does not mean the bad guys will not do something bad. Although they can be prosecuted after the fact, it still does not take away what has happened.

I think you guys who disagree need to be a little more tolerant of other views on this issue :) We do not all think with one mind.

Let's say you're a lone Bush supporter on a street full of Kerry supporters somewhere in say, San Francisco or New York City. You put your Bush Cheney yard sign out front, and one of your neighbors decides to let you knows what he thinks about that by firebombing your house one night.

Or maybe you're out driving with your BC'04 sticker on the back of your car, and some Kerry supporter decides to run you off the road.

By your logic, you should be charged with felony child endangerment if your child was with you at the time. After all, you should be aware of what these people are capable of doing.

I've been saying this since it happened.

Hope you've got your asbestos PJ's on.

Fool.

Sam Adams was a fool. He endangered his family too.

George Washington was a fool. He endangered every patriot school boy at the time.

Lincoln was a fool. Left his wife a widow and his kids fatherless.

* * *

We stand with the fools -- if that's what you call a man, a Dad, who loves his children so much that he's willing to risk their safety for freedom.

* * *

Like those families of Cubans on makeshift rafts, or those of the pioneers crossing Indian territory.

All, in your book, fools.

* * *

Liberty!

. . . and what are your opinions about women who are raped? Are they "fools" for wearing a dress that reveals their legs?
