"Walter Cronkite and Brian Williams, the past, present and future of television news."
Broadcast 9/10/04,hmmm,2 days after rathergate.
CSPAN,dammit'
I see Geritol and Polident in their future....
For an antique geezer Cronkite can still spew out the pablum
Wouldn't waste my time.
Hey senile walter, ever heard of rathergate??
Thanks mods.
Do I have to watch? Please, can't I watch something else?
Probably don't have to watch..."no liberal bias, no liberal bias, no liberal bias, we're the center of the universe."
Over and over again.
I especially liked the plump aging female acting as "moderator." Her question to Cornkite about the 527's (which Unca Walter missed the first time because he was drifting off) was framed EXCLUSIVELY in terms of whether he would have investigated the Swiftvet ads more deeply(he would have, he said...surprise).
Not even an acknowledgement of the MoveOn.org and similar back-alley operations. Her name is Betsy Ashton, a previous nobody who is a muckymuck in what passes for an ethics board or some such in the "journalism" game...and a totally unethical media whore of the first water.
Dead man talking.
All you need to know........Brian Williams just lamented how these national guard documents come out showing the president to be a slacker and all everyone was talking about is the 'font'(shaking his head and rolling his eyes)
If you're watching, you can see Williams saying they're not changing for anything...
"Core values" he says...we know what those are. Take a look at the DU site.
"Walter Cronkite and Brian Williams, the past, present and future of television news."
Brian Williams...the bimbo who makes Dan Quayle look like Stephen Hawking. His end of the gene pool was so shallow it was actually a mud flat.
I think we all know what walters' and rathers' principals are and were.
Man, it's a liberal love-in. Cronkite says you can be biased and still show both sides.
Remember: Cronkite is one of the reasons we lost Vietnam
I was not born when old walter started and 18 when he left, good riddens to bad "journalists".
I know,I won't.
