Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, the former Iraqi Minister of Information, who is perhaps better known to most Americans by the affectionate moniker "Baghdad Bob," will join CBS on its critically-acclaimed TV news-magazine "60 Minutes" this fall. It is believed that Mr. Bob is the only living person willing to risk his personal integrity by appearing with Dan Rather in public. He claims to "stand behind" Dan Rather in his blatant attempt to topple President Bush. Speaking from an undisclosed location, Mr. Bob said, "although the forged- document thing is a little out of date, and, may I say, they did a really crappy job, I understand where Mr. Rather is coming from and stand behind him one-hundred percent. I know the pressure that people in our business can come under and I just feel bad that I couldn't give him propaganda pointers earlier."
"My staff and I had been fooling UN inspectors for years with fake documents," he continued," and although my creative staff has been involuntarily downsized (may Allah rest their souls) I'd bet a dollar to a dinar that I could still fool Janeane Garafalo. I will give Mr. Rather my full support in overthrowing President Bush."
Surprisingly, Mr. Bob claimed to have just then received a phone call informing him that President "had already been overthrown."
Mr. Rather issued a statement that he "feels Baghdad Bob will make a valuable addition to the CBS News team."
Bagdhad Bob: "There are no liars in the CBS news division."
Finally, CBS is working to restore some of their lost credibility.
You mean they are two different people?? They sound so much alike, I thought Baghdad and Dan were the same guy.
He'd make a great replacement for Andy Rooney.
Can you imagine him wrapping up all the SeeBS Stories for a night.
LOL that would be funny.
VERY nice! This one just begs for comments. Thanks!
