I'm so tired of these misleading headlines. I'm given to understand the Navy only confirmed Kerry's medals were properly approved in so far as having all the required signatures) and nowhere have I read the Navy confirming he "earned" them. ABC, please lets be honest and not manipulative!
Judicial Watch handed the media a freebie with their suit.
Well, I think that for ALL men and women who have medals, it should be accepted by people that they earned them. I hate the sum-bish, but I will accept that he most likely earned them in some fashion.
Why didn't ABC ask for a statement from the Swift Vets?
Liberal media is so last year.
By the way, does anyone know how many votes Larry Klayman got last month in his U.S. Senate race in Florida? Was it more than 1%? Has he filed suit over the election yet?
simple enough...just have AP ask him to sign his 180 Like GWB has already done. Though H_ _ _L will probably freeze over first...
"Judicial Watch handed the media a freebie with their suit"
Without Kerry signing the 180 form, there was nothing else the military could or would say.
Judical watch was foolish to pursue something they knew that they couldn't get without the 180 form.
You are right, Judical Watch gave an easy media victory to the Kerry Campaign.
You know, I think it is likely some clerk typed it in wrong. Probably saw the Bronze Star with V and assumed he was supposed to do that with all valor medals.
"Well, I think that for ALL men and women who have medals, it should be accepted by people that they earned them. I hate the sum-bish, but I will accept that he most likely earned them in some fashion."
With all due respect, you must not have read únfit for command'
Kerry did not earn those medals
He wrote the citations himself
That is what he is hiding in his 180 form.
I already sent his campaign headquarters one awhile back about a month ago i think
They aren't going to deal with that issue unless the Navy does, and the Navy has said it will not. I think everyone who cares about this issue has already made up their mind anyway.
Frankly, this makes me have less respect for the Navy. Maybe a letter-writing campaign to the Sec. of the Navy is in order. The ANG was "forced" to give up all of the President's papers. Why should the Navy be any more special?
I don't blame them for not wanting to reopen this. The Navy is supposed to stay out of politics. If it had been raised 25 years ago, when we were not in the heat of a Presidential election, I might have had a different view.
Also, I am sure that they don't want to get on Kerry's bad side. They don't know for certain that Bush will win. I suspect that Bush would tell them to stay out of it, if they were to ask him.
