"The left COULD (and probably will) have a field day saying things were taken out of context... which they obviously are..." How interesting that you feel the need to speak for the left. The comments were not taken "out of context". I saw the very interview that is used here, live. Kerry was referring to his "medals" er or was it his ribbons.

I've seen the ad twice here in Las Vegas on the ABC station.

Puh-leeze. I'm not speaking for the left. I'm just indicating where this is not a very good ad. Just because somebody is contrary to the popular opinion of a FR thread does not make them a liberal.
Where Kerry says, "We gave away the symbols that of what our country gave to us." "And I'm proud of that." The, "I'm proud of that" is obviously taken from another hunk of the speech.
Or let me say this... if it wasn't taken from another hunk of the speech, if it indeed came right after the statement of "We gave away the symbols that our country gave to us." then it should flow with out the split second flash to white.
Watch it again.
Again... I understand the message... and even agree with it... it's just this is not a quality commercial. The message is muddled by jumping back and forth between the two interviews. It'll play well here on Free Republic... I don't think it'll play well in Peoria.
I have a little bit of a background in writing commercials, though I'm no expert. In my learned opinion, this is not a good commercial.
