Rush, and although I like most of others, no one else is close.

Medved depending on the subject of the hour. Best debater and most thoughtful.
Laura Ingraham, always entertaining and intelligent, also has the best bumper music
Rush is the gold standard and depending on the news cycle can be the best on any given day

Currently it's a close race. But top honors go to
Hugh Hewitt. He has mastered the talk radio format, and intertwined it with the internet/blogosphere. To me he's the leading edge at the moment. When big news is breaking, this is the show I cannot wait to hear.
To: RedOhio
Hugh Hewitt if he didn't indulge so many idiot callers, Rush but only at election time, Medved is the smartest and most at peace with himself, Savage for the Lenny Bruce humor and rage which is pure fun;

Michael Savage is the only truly conservative talk show host. Among the near-conservatives I like Ingraham, Limbaugh, Hannity, Bennett, and Hewitt.
To: RedOhio
Of the nationally syndicated talk show hosts, Chicago only gets Limabaugh, Hannity on tape delay and Tony Snow on the weekends. Oh, one (1) hour of Hugh Hewitt.
Anybody want to buy a Chicago station? Why do we need 5 sports channels?

Glenn Beck is good.
I really like Jerry Doyle, of Babylon 5 fame. He's really good!
Sean Hannity is pretty repetitive, but good.
Rush is fun to listen to.
And Michael Savage is just fun to listen to because he's sort of like a shock jock. Though he is more anti-liberal, ultra conservative than most moderates can handle, I like the guy. He's quirky.
Michael Reagan is a good one to listen to for a calm breakdown of the issues du jour.

Hugh Hewitt, when I lived where he was broadcast.
