Bill Burkett sounds like he is hip deep in the Democrat party in Texas. This is from an Aug 31 2004 post

Since 1998, I've commented that we Democratic Leaders were the ones who bear the blame for Democratic defeats. And over the past year, we;ve made great strides to try to correct those problems in Texas.

And then there is this

I'm serious folks, this is a GOOD year to be a Democrat.

And look what he wrote in response to a message entitled Re: [TX-Demos] Kerry Events for the week of 08/15/04 - 08/21/04

I think this can become a spot where we all can get in touch with those doing a good job. FOr example, I end up in doctor's offices weekly in the Dallas Ft. Worth area, but can't seem to find out what's going on to wehre we might join in. [He is referring to Kerry events]

I wished that Tommy could make a presentation to the critical consultants for the John Kerry campaign and develop the message that the voters can not miss concerning "shifting the tax burden".

We, as Democrats must be able to step forward and show that our number one and only goal is to provide HONEST Government and that we are willing to police ourselves in order to make it so.

Also, this sounds a little cryptic
