Like "rathergate", it's much easier to believe a memo if you know its' provenance.

This one came from "a city of 150,000 in the Midwest," eh?

I hope you'll understand my skepticism.

The guy who wrote "Bias" (forget name, Bernie ... ???) an ex CBS reporter, said recently that CBS should have at least given some information about the source of the documents. You can tell general information like "a White House Source", or "A disgruntled Guard Member", or "Campaign Worker", at least something to identify where the source is coming from.

(C)BS didn't do that in any way. They just said "we've obtained a memo".

Our guy here said "it came from a city of 150,000 in the Midwest". That's the provenance.

If you want to say he forged the e-mail. Great. But at least he's got more information than (C)BS has.
