I cannot help but wonder to what extent Freeper emails motivated this statement. I certainly sent one, as I am sure many Freepers did.

Yeah I sent him one too. Give the guy credit he didn't stall...he stepped up. Let's hope there really is a follow up. A public apology by GOON BOY would be a start.

I'm sure it's been said but I am happy to see this guy did not stonewall like Dan Rather did. I intend to email him that it is nice to see someone step up and take it on the chin when it is the right thing to do so.
