Good God woman. The guy took his daughter to a KERRY/EDWARDS event and gave his kid a BUSH/CHENEY sign. He was going there to instigate. It would like like handing your kid a hairdryer while they were in the bath tub.
"He was going there to instigate."
I disagree. There was a time in this country when Republcians could express their beliefs without fear of being assaulted by Democrats.
Last time I checked this was a free country with constitutional rights as to the freedom to protest, the freedom of assembly, free speech, etc.
You sound like someone that would say, "hell no, my kid isn't going Trick or Treating because they might get drugged candy". You limit your own rights by not demanding the jerks that would drug the candy be arrested, tried and convicted of a crime.
I've been to lots of Republican rally's and have NEVER ONCE seen any opposition treated in that matter.
And, personally, I would enojoy the confrontation since it would give me a defensive ability to kick some left-wingers worthless ass.
Oh, so you think that Demon goons are as lethal to children as a hairdryer in the bathtub? I can see that.
I don't think so. I think he was there to peacefully express his opinion.
I live in Seattle, which is only slightly to the right of San Francisco. I have been in situations where I've been outnumbered, too - but I never expected to have someone asault me, and I have never BEEN assaulted. God help us if that's what we have begun to EXPECT.
Wait a minute aren't we told, by the libretards, that protesting is the most Patriotic thing you can do? Seems the painters union moore-ons are unpatriotic. Besides looks like the little girl kicked their collective asses, as the union pansies couldn't get the whole sign away from her.
He wasn't going to an event - it was at the airport. I've brought my children to event many many times when they were little so they could see candidates. So what? Does that mean my children are fair game for attack?
I call bullshit on that. This is still a free country, and no one should ever have to fear being physically assaulted when participating in political events. That should NEVER be excused. EVER.
Anyone who involves their children in political happenings is doing a GOOD thing - it teaches civics, responsibility, and appreciation for the system we have.
