"I think the public ought to be concerned about his preferential treatment getting in and whether he satisfied his commitment to the Air Guard.

When did he get special treatment? Source please.
Why would any one think he didn't satisfy his commitment?
All we've seen is a fake document, and all we've heard is political hacks. They don't mean anything. This is a non issue.
Until someone can come up with a reason to question, I'm not concerned.

Sheesh!

Bottom line: Robert Strong is an inoffensive English professor who dislikes, but has never met, President Bush; he has no idea whether the CBS documents are authentic; he never discussed Lt. Bush with Jerry Killian; and he has “no personal knowledge” about President Bush’s National Guard service. The only information Strong actually brings to the table is his confirmation that the CBS documents “turned up” as retribution for the Swift Boat Vets’ attacks on John Kerry.

The obvious question, to everyone but the dims and Dan Rather, is WHY should the public be concerned about this? There is absolutely NO relavance to this issue, as most rational people understand. W has been CIC for nearly 4 years, and what he did in the National Guard 30+ years ago is irrelavant to today. More evidence of liberal insanity, as if any were needed.

See the latest Gallup Poll? With CBS's help, Bush is increasing in the polls as coverage of this story increases. I say, keep showing the picture of Bush in his uniform. It helps, not hurts.

Yep! He's very good looking in those pictures. He looks like an all American young man.

Well, in some ways the Dems have succeeded- the excitement of catching Dan with his hand in the cookie jar has taken attention off of the Swiftboat message. We should still be hammering on that to keep the fires burning.

Regardless of the authenticity of the memos, the question should be centered on Bush's Guard service, and what is indicated in the documents, Strong said.

People this dumb are hard to imagine. But DU is full of them, so there's no reason to believe Texas could escape being home to some of them.

I still see Kerry - a pompous ass - talking about throwing 7,8, or 9 metals away on FOX commercials. The Vets aren't done yet, I'm sure. They'll keep going. To them, it's not about Bush. They want to expose Kerry. That's their goal. They've got even better stuff to use on Kerry, no doubt. This tabloid CBS stuff is just the press killing time.
FOX has started to report Kerry's secret meetings with the Viet Nam enemies. I think they'll come around to Kerry yet.

Strong told The Associated Press on Thursday that he couldn't vouch for the authenticity of the memos, but "if Mrs. Knox didn't type those documents and she thinks they're fake, I'll go with her judgment." He said he doesn't know who provided CBS with the documents.

Oh really? Then why did he appear with Dan Rather on Friday in Rather's effort to authenticate the documents?

But Strong added that he and Knox worked closely with Killian and are in better position to know about his work habits and feelings about Bush than Killian's five children, who were between the ages of two and 19 in 1972. Strong said Killian's records would have been removed from his Guard office before his family would have been allowed to retrieve his personal items after he died in 1984.

Strong didn't even work in the same office as Killian. And Killian's wife has said the same thing as the children have. How does he dispute her knowledge?
