I think when all the dots are connected (which might prove to be harder than we can imagine, given the powerful obfuscation that's already in play) Dan Rather will be shown not to be one who was innocently duped, but instead a willing perp in this hoax. His daughter is a Democrat activist in that part of Texas, he's done fundraisers there, etc. etc. I think Rather's days are numbered, but CBS will allow both itself and Dan to keep up appearanc to let him go on a while longer, but not participate in campaign/election coverage, and easing him out around the end of the year. Luckily, he will be allowed to go out with some dignity intact, but if it were me, I'd indict him if I could find enough evidence. I've heard the same Democrat talking point regarding these memos about half a dozen times already, from half a dozen different people: "Let's not talk about whether the memos are forged,
let's address the issues and questions they raise". This virtually proves the memos are forged, and were stupidly brought out precisely to get the "issues" therein discussed . Funny thing is, nothing in the forged documents amounts to anything anyway. This reminds me of Martha Stewart dumping a couple hundred thousand dollars worth of stock, lying about it, and in the end, losing tens of millions of dollars for herself, AND her investors. CBS and Rather are in for something similar.
Totally true.
