"Anarchists are an extreme form of libertarians."
Not really. Libertarians believe VERY strongly in individual freedoms and accountability. While there are lefty issues we agree with (eg. gay rights) there are many that we don't agree with (eg. we're hardcore capitalists, anti-socialist, anti-big government, anti-tax, very pro-gun rights, etc.). The issue of abortion is "technically" also something Libertarians support, but in reality I found that there's a 50-50 split on this issue.
In a nutshell I would say Libertarians are socially liberal but conservative on everything else.

Well, I'm not exactly a libertarian, though I lean strongly that way.
However, I think it would be fair to say that individual freedom and personal liberty are pretty close to the foundations of libertarianism. I would suppose that conservatives and libertarians share this philosophy, though some posts here on FR make me wonder.
Actually, my opinion is that libertarians are merely one form of conservatives, considering that individual freedom and personal liberty are also the foundations of the USA.
I imagine the conflict comes in with different understandings on what the rules of conduct, ethics or laws that regulate "morality" should be. Libertarians tend to oppose laws that forbid "victimless" crimes, while "conservatives" tend to argue that many of those "victimless" crimes are in fact not victimless.
As far as Miss Judd singing on a lesbian cruise goes, I am OK with her doing that, although the idea seems a little comical. However, even though I am not very religious, IMO the point is well taken that the Bible, the Torah, etc. all condemn homosexuality in the strongest possible terms.
Funny, it's you who sound like you are full of hate and intolerance. A Bible believing Christian believes that homosexuality is a sin. Jesus did not come to condemn sinners but to save them. Endorsing someone in sin is hatred in the highest degree especially if it to gain popularity, power or money. A person in sin desperately, desperately needs for someone to care about them enough to warn them as to the disastrous path they are on. The path of embracing sin leads directly into misery and ultimate eternal damnation in hell. The good news is that God is willing to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. The truth will set us free from being a slave to sin (any sin and all sin). The power of the Holy Spirit can liberate us. God is The POWER and is able to do anything good that we will trust him for but we must admit our sin and turn to Christ to save us and empower us to live for him. Christ died on the cross a horrible death so that we might be forgiven. He gave everything for us and all that we can do is accept him and what he did for us.
I never did much care for Wynonna and her sister and her scary looking mother before, and now this...
By the way, on a lesbian cruise when the ship is taking water, do they announce: "Man the lifeboats" or what?
You only follow the parts of the Bible that you agree with doncha? Good Christians don't mock God's laws that forbid homosexuality. You sound like a liberal.
By conservative I mean conserving traditional society. Libertarianism is simply the ideology of hedonism.
Yes, Ashley was there. Lost my interest in her movies after that.
Good grief! Is that a mugshot or something?!
Well, if you are going to have freedom, you have to exercise personal responsibility. We must be a "virtuous people."
'Course one can always obtain a virtuous people by force, but then I'm not convinced it is really virtue, since there is no choice.
Good way to witness...I think. Jesus would have been the first one on that boat looking for sinners. He commanded us to bring his gospel to the world...even them.
My understanding is that while libertarianism allows hedonism, it is the philosophy of individual freedom.
On the contrary, "judge not lest you be judged" is a Biblical teaching, one that we should not ignore in our zeal to separate the wheat from the chaff.
The statement is from the 7th chapter of Matthew, "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Now for the question; Does the bible forbid association with sinners? Seems to me Jesus hung around with sinners constantly...heck...even sought them out. I seem to remember the pharisees being reallllllllly mad at him for hanging around with prostitutes and tax collectors. Just wondering.
Oh...I might as well add a thought of my own. That tired old, "You sound like a liberal" horses**t makes you look bad. You don't want to look bad do you? Naw, never mind, I'm sure when you look in the mirror you positively glow with righteous beauty.
