Even Wesley Clark got a minimal response.

This is so horrible, I'm almost embarrassed for him. Naaaahhhh - let the flop sweat begin!

He wants to look them in the eye and say thank you. Anyone see any irony in that.

Either they forgot to add the canned applause – or even PBS is sick of the guy.

pleads for them to clap to send respect to those in arms around world,,he is begging. Now they clap, still not alot and he is thanking and giving that little nod he gives. He is so happy to hear clapping. Now he goes on to the homefront.

Grrrrr. He keeps asking for applause on behalf of others, so that the news clips of his speech will seem to show that HE was well received.

" No applause for Clark.."

LOL!

And the same 8-9 people are desperately trying to extend the weak applause...

The crowd applauded them fighting for freedom.

I wonder if Kerry is going to nominate Clark as president of Iraq Veterans Against the War

The camera panned at times to a few listeners walking out, a few boo's and NOT A SINGLE CLAP BY ANYONE IN THE CROWD!

Good!

I bet they were spraying this all over the place...

It's like he's giving a 2 hour speech in the Senate..where 99% of the time..the room is empty..but the cameras never show it..he doesn't know how to speak to a crowd..

Kerry's clapping for Clark was louder than anyone else's. I'm suprised he can give kudo's to the National Guard with a straight face. Oh Yea, I forgot he's Mr. Flip Flop

On "FOX News", they showed it. From what I could see and hear, a couple of the officers standing when he walked in, seemed to be polite to him. They clapped and smiled at him; but one of them turned around, smiled and chatted with him. This one seemed a little more friendly than the others.

But it sounded like he was getting a lot of applause in the audience, and a few whistles and cheers toward the back. I was a bit surprised, but I do realize there may have been some in there who like him, no matter what he might have done, or does now.

Even when he fishes for applause, asking for a salute to those serving, etc, it sounds very weak, polite.
