I've seen too many posts that jump the gun and assume something that is not true.

You'll get used to it. For my birthday, I gave myself permission to ignore posts that completely misprise what I intended, or that include the words "People like you ..."

Thank you! :-) I still haven't figured out how to get the italics to show (for quoting a reply). I do a copy and paste, but it's all plain text.

That happened to me, too. Somewhere on the site, there's a file with basic HTML commands, so you can learn to format a littlebit. It'd be nice if someone more computer-literate would link that (LOUD HINT).

Some people use *** asterisks *** to set off a quoted section, until someone shows them how to Italicise and stuff. The problem is that if you type in the HTML commands, they execute instead of displaying the commands.

I was really great with WordPerfect 5.0. This new stuff is hard work :-).
