I worked on Democratic campaigns since I was five years old - I helped one current Dem in Congress on his election (back in 1992, before I converted through marriage/osmosis). It is the best education for the electoral process and American government and I encourge it (though, Dems were really sick folks) parents to involve their children.
There is no excuse for this. Republicans never, ever treated us (three kids in our family) poorly or embarrassed my mother, but then again, I'm being redundant - I was on the other side.
This ticks me off!
When I saw it first, I felt like going out to find a couple of Kerry supporters to start a fight. My blood is still boiling at it.
And it's no accident. The Kerry campaign has consistently used union goons as an unofficial security detail. We've seen several incidents of them beating up on hecklers at Kerry rallies. Now they've started on toddlers.
Scum. Disgusting, unadulterated scum.
I've worked on a few Democrat campaigns myself. But in southern Delaware, where I spent nearly 20 years working in politics, the Democrats tend to be far more conservative than the Republicans.
I've always taken my daughter to political stuff, and never once encountere a problem from the opposition.
