Little girl's brother-

Yes, Sophia is ok, but a little confused because "the people changed and got mean" as soon as she held up her sign. We were at the visit in the hopes of winning the people who are unsure and reassuring those who support President Bush. Among those supporters, much to my surprise and delight, were one of the drivers for the Edwards motorcade (who honked and gave a thumbs up after dropping off Edwards) and some police from both WV and Ohio.

I hope you folks are ready for the calls from Rush, Hannity, etc...

I wouldn't expect Dan Rather to call, though.

WELCOME to Free Republic, spiderman9!

See alos THIS report, from www.herald-dispatch.com:

A Republican family attended the rally to show support for the Bush-Cheney ticket. Phil Parlock, a Barboursville resident and strong Republican, said his family was accosted by some Kerry supporters.

"We do it peacefully and quietly to show respect. And, we don’t want to get kicked out of anything," Parlock said.

After standing on the tarmac with the Kerry supporters, Parklock and three of his children moved down to the airport road near a parking lot exit.

With Parlock were sons Phil II, 21, and Alex, 11, and daughter Sophia, 3.

Parlock said a Kerry supporter yanked a Bush-Cheney sign out of Sophia’s hands, making her cry. As they stood along the road later, someone threw the ripped-up remains of the sign at them as they passed.

God bless you and your family! Thank you for serving in the National Guard! Wasn't it great as to how well the President was received at the National Guard Association meeting in Vegas (and how poorly Kerry did)?!! Your parents have the support of THOUSANDS of us people out here who are watching this story unfold. Give your little sister a big hug on behalf of us all, and same for your little brother pictured in these 2 photos.

Down here in Nashville...most of the local Barneys I know are big W supporters.

I got stopped by a local Belle Meade (posh Nashville village) cop and he wanted to know about my Molon Labe t-shirt.

My 4 year old boy knows what time it is with this election and knows to beware of ANSWER or MoveOn.org types.

It's a tuff young lesson for a sweet young mind....but life is about such things sometimes....we just hate seeing it happen to them ...especially in the pics.

I can say with all honesty....I would never ever wish to see a lefty's little child subjected to the same...nevr ever. There is something down deep wrong with that.

Anyone as an adult (like baseball cap punk) mess with someone's little kids and very bad things can happen real quick.

You said, in your earlier posts to this thread:

Among those supporters, much to my surprise and delight, were one of the drivers for the Edwards motorcade (who honked and gave a thumbs up after dropping off Edwards) and some police from both WV and Ohio.

Thank you for sending this to Drudge Report, and for all of the support. I was at the Edwards visit to the tri-state airport in Kenova, WV (near Huntington). I was not up front with my dad and siblings, but at the entrance to the airport, silently greeting airport traffic, as well as Sen. Edwards with a homemade Bush sign and U.S. and West Virginia flags.

Thanks for the Sit-Rep on this event! You were a FReeper in spirit before you logged on and registered and posted!!!! WOO HOO! If there is anything we out here in Internet-land can do for you and your fellow Guardsmen and women, please speak up!

Merciless unfeeling LIBERALS

Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) made a brief stop at the airport as he concluded his two-day bus tour to locations in West Virginia and Ohio.
