Actually, Pew on their website said the poll was a combination of registered voters and "Adults"

It looks to be as if they included not only LVs and RVs, but SUVs, ORVs, TWVs, and ULVs.

For the non-cognoscenti, that's Sports Utility Vehicles, Off Road Vehicles, Three Wheeled Vehicles, and Un-Licensed Vehicles; all known Kerry voters.
