I don't, but I know that Iran is on the verge of going nuclear. Somebody has to do something about that - and who's that gonna be if not the US. But we're not going to be able to do it by taking troops from Iraq, because we can't keep order there even with the troops we've got. That means, more troops from somewhere.

And you're still not denying that you would and will support a draft. Come on, we both know you wouldn't have any problem with a draft if the Defense Department calls for one. Be honest with me - and with yourself.

I would support a draft. I don't deny that.
I also believe it would not be reinstituted unless absolutely necessary. The crux of your argument is that it is not necessary.

Do you believe the Pentagon or the President would reinstitute a draft in a situation in which it were not necessary?
On one hand, it has been 16 years since a President got 50% or more of the vote. Clinton did not in either election. Bush did not in 2000.
But I actually think Bush will get between 53%-55% this time.
Reference the Harris poll...quit worrying so much. It is an aberation. Dozens of polls are coming in across all the states, and National polls, that show Bush's lead is holding if not growing this past week.
If won't be necessary if the folks talking about invading a number of other middle east countries drop those ambitions.
I am in the military (now in my 25th year). No draft needed, no draft wanted. No one in the military even talking, or thinking about a draft.
Strictly Democrat talking points in an attempt to scare folks. You should not fall for it...change the subject to something that is realistic.
1. Do you think the US should take out Iran, Syria and Lebanon, and maybe Saudi A?
2. If yes, do you think it can be done without a draft?
Why my dear fellow, a draft is good anytime as long as its ice cold and goes down easy.
