My problem is that once we start down the dehumanization road, we tend to blur the lines separating all Muslims from Islamic terrorists, and all Chechens from Chechen terrorists.
Luis, are you still of the belief that there is some moral equivalence between Christianity and Islam? Seems to me a couple of years back you were espousing something like this in one thread and there was a whole line of contention revolving around this point.
Doesn't it occur to you that this critique of Putin, him using his war effort against Muslim insurgents to usurp power, is similar to the criticism of George W's implementing the Patriot Act, et al??
