Dan Rather, the longest-serving and most outspoken of the major network news anchors, recently served as the star attraction at a Democratic Party fundraiser.
Donors paid as much as $1,000 for a private evening in Austin with the CBS newsman, according to an invitation obtained by The Washington Post. Rather's appearance at the March 21 gathering generated about $20,000 for the Travis County Democratic Party -- and will undoubtedly provide ammunition to critics who have long accused Rather of leaning to the left...Other hosts included Scott Ozmun, the county Democratic chairman, and Robin Rather, the anchor's daughter and a Texas environmentalist and marketing executive.

Hell, there own dam story is a SO WHAT episode anyway regardless of what is or is not true, because they helped elect a proclaimed draft doger in Bill Clinton and that made no difference to them.
For some reason, when you're putting up a thread, the box they offer for additonal posts will not "take" the copy and paste links.
If you ONLY copy and paste and don't use ANY HTML at all, the links become live.
No < > of any kind.......just plain copy and paste.
I say this calls for an amputation.
I am beginning to believe that the Washington Post realizes that John Kerry would be a diaster for the USA if he were to become President. They will never endorse GW Bush, but they may choose to remain neutral, which really is the same as endorsing Bush.
GOOD WORK !!!
He understands the ARMY National Guard, not the AIR naational Guard.
I'm sure glad Algore took the time to invent it...... ;-)
"perspective" s/b prospective
Man, I need more caffine.... :-)
New guy here. :)
I don't think he made the documents either although I do think he was probably a go between. I think the place to look for the DNC connection is in San Antonio.
Also does anyone out there know anything about Brigadier General Tom Daniels (ret)? He's listed as a member of the Nationl Vetrans for Kerry-Edwards Steering comittee.

Actually, CBS probably has hired that guy that did that show "Crossing Over" who has been communicating with Killian.
I expect the next Act to be Drather having him doing a "Crossing Over" next week. This has become a reality show.
Good summary. The cleanest I have seen.
Ben Barnes is on the Finance Council of the Travis County Democratic Party

I also saw something recently that said he was a Director of the Travis County Dem Party in the past, but can't find it now, grrrr...
If Dan Rather's daughter is THE source of the phony
documents, this would go far in explaining why
Rather keeps silent on his source.
Something stinks to high heaven here.
Good work Mighty Quinn!
I think I read in a bio on VanOs (Burkett's lawyer) that he is in San Antonio. And I believe San Antonio is only about an hr from Austin. That's just next door in Texas.
Was Burkett's attorney- Van Os- present at this Robin Rather-hosted fundraiser?
I still supect Burkett's attorney, Van Os, an ambitious democrat activist with aspirations for Texas Supreme Court-is the missing link. Who is paying his fees?
