Are you implying that the men who killed Matthew Shepard are somehow indicative of the culture of rural America? I hope not. I have lived in many different places within the U.S....from Virginia to New mexico and up into North Dakota. I can tell you that some of the nicest and well-mannered people I have ever met lived in rural Tennessee.
Thank you for asking and not just jumping on me:) No, I'm not implying that those men were indicative of anything but a meth problem that has been going on for a long time. Of course when the murder took place it was portrayed that they were indicative of rural America's predisposition to violence against gays. It's my opinion that drug abuse had more to do with their actions than their address.
