Did you hear the deafening silence interrupted by occasional polite applause at the Kerry economic rally in Detroit yesterday. I almost felt badly for Kerry.

Hey, Ann, give me a call when they start knocking cops down and kicking them in the head. Until then, shut your piehole.
To: TurtleStink
Maybe she's not used to hearing people cheering.

Sure we're noisy. Ninety-nine percent of Dubya's fans aren't on dope.

Why is it that the libs have hags like Ann, Susan Estrogen, and Helen reporting for them and we have babes like Ann Coulter?

Small crowds are not noisy. Only large crowds are noisy.
I recently went to an MLB baseball game at Kansas City. Periodically, the JumboTron would beg the crowd to "Make some Noise," and the crowd did. But it was such a small crowd that it still didn't reach the level I'd call noisy.
If Compton is saying Bush crowds are noisy, then that's saying they are also LARGE.
To: TurtleStink
You should have heard us in Cedar Rapids 2 weeks ago! The very loudest cheer was when W started talking about "activist judges". Before he even finished the sentence the crowd erupted and he couldn't finish. The biggest issue to us 15,000 people was clearly gay marriage. I loved it.

Understand who is wrote this. To a leftie, a Bush Rally sounds like noise - they don't believe in good or truth so the gathering is white noise.
To US, it's a concert. There is nothing in America ... NOTHING .. that comes close to a President speaking live to his supporters.
The only time I've experienced this was seeing President Reagan. As he walked up the steps to the podium, my eyes welled up and my heart filled... I was smiling the entire time he spoke. This was 1984 IIRC. I still get that feeling when I write about it. :-}
