If I were the driver of that yellow cab sitting there you'd see by white reverse lights on and a plume of smoke from spinning tires.

Looking at the 4th picture, it looks like the other lane is being closed by the police, with a semi being held up. That guy ought to be thanking the cops for saving his life.
