Have a news story break about how the standard Army / Marine gun lubricant is just not doing the job in the dry desert conditions. Proceed to explain how the new lubricant is now made out of pig fat and how it improves the performance of all military weapons. You could even include on how this causes controversy - infected wounds from the pig fat, etc.

You could get CBS to fake up a memo to this effect, if they weren't so busy rooting for the terrorists.

That is a great idea--but I think the way we are doing thus far is working pretty well.

Historically, any time we have taken the fight to them, they have backed off. Now we just need to keep pounding them into submission (heck, that's what "Islam" means, right?)

I remember back in the 80's my dad ranting after some attack, possibly Beirut, that the Russians had done exactly this sort of thing and that was why they were not having any problem with the Muslims. I've been saying since 9/11 that we should be using their religeon against them.
