I understand that Knox the secretary who now says she typed up memo's like the fake CBS documents, previously said she didn't know anything or remember anything about Bush's time in the guard. Is that true? I haven't been able to find it.
In a Houston Chronicle article she said she had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time in the TANG. Looking for article now.
I heard that on local talk radio yesterday afternoon. Don't know if it's true or not. Send a email to littlegreenfootballs and powerlineblog. Maybe they know the answer to that..
I do believe she first said she had no knowledge of Bush's time in the guard. But the more she talked to Dan Rather, the more she "remembered" (or was coached).
She is a genuine Yellow Dog Democrat. Someone here looked up her voting record, and she's voted in 4 Democratic primary elections in the last decade. The poster says that's a "4D Democrat". Hard core partisian.

Ex-staffer: Bush records are fake
The matter in question...
Last week, Knox said she had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time with the Texas Air National Guard, although she did recall a culture of special treatment for the sons of prominent people, such as Bush and others.
Gee, I wonder why Danny boy didn't mention that she's hardcore Democrat? :-)
I was in the Navy for eight years and I can't remember the subject of a single memo or script I wrote, nor can I remember any of the people I went through bootcamp with in '88. Heck, I can't even remember what I had for dinner last night.

Without the memos, you have an elderly lady discussing comments she said she overheard in an office thirty years ago. There's no way to verify these memories. What she says she heard might well be influenced, even unconsciously, by what she has just read, too. Republicans would probably do worse attacking this lady's credibility than ignoring her.

From the article:
Last week, Knox said she had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time with the Texas Air National Guard, although she did recall a culture of special treatment for the sons of prominent people, such as Bush and others.
Now that makes more sense. When I heard she was a pool typist (or secretary) I immediately wondered how she came to know the innermost thoughts of one of her several bosses. In those days, you know, pool typists didn't really fraternize much with their bosses. I have done work like that at various times in my life, and usually the only conversation is about when the work is needed, and other details.
Someone needs to get this info to Rush,Hannity, and Drudge ASAP.
Whatever "pill" they gave her to refresh her memory, I'd like a truckload.
Exactly. Gary Killian said on Fox News last night that she wasn't his father's secretary, that she was assigned to another officer, and that she typed things for other people from time to time.
Rosemary Woods she was not.
Rush mentioned it on air today. I sent it to Drudge last night.

Anyone able to find where she said that 'last week'?
There are so many lies in this ANG story they're trying to pedal that I'm starting to think a listing of them will be bigger than a NYC phonebook. It's easier to point out the things we know to be true--such as, he did serve, and he did serve honorably, and was therefore given an honorable discharge.
Don't know. Maybe contact the writers ROBERT CROWE and JULIE MASON at the Houston Chronicle.
Another poster has stated that Knox met with Van os and Burkett last week. I have asked him/her for a source but nothing so far.
The notable thing about this article is it reports on an interview conducted, probably on 9/15, where she has extensive, antagonistic recollections about W, but a week before she remembered nothing. Looks like "refreshed recollection" similar to that of many toddlers in the 80's who had their memories "refreshed" so they could railroad innocent child care providers on fake mass child sex abuse charges.
