A court in Jakarta has sentenced a militant Muslim to 12 years in prison for his role in last year's bombing of the Marriott Hotel which killed 12 people. Ismail, whose real name is Ricky Putranto, was found guilty of storing and transporting the explosives used in the blast. The court did not find him guilty of planning and carrying out the attack. The two main suspects, both Malaysians, remain at large.
The Indonesian police have arrested a married couple in a suburb of Surabaya in connection with last week's bomb explosion outside the Australian embassy in which nine people were killed.

12 years?
Until courts around the world get serious, we'll never put an end to terrorism.
The sentence should have been death by explosives.
