Been there!! All i can say is : guys, take the risk. If you really have feelings for her, SAY IT! Its how it happened with me and hubby...I had had a crush on him, but since he was the cousin of a friend of mine, didnt want to risk the laughter and teasing...years later, when I was sick of dealing with another guy who wanted to be both in my life but never invite me into his, future-hubby spoke up to my friend asking if I was available. The answer was a resounding YES! And we have been married fourteen years :D
LOTR is anti-war?! Stuff and nonsense!
Part of the problem i had, too, was that I was everybody's "Little Sister".
(Which is a nice place to be! Nobody is more generous than a trooper on leave! They took me out for ice-cream, and bought me books...TRUE they DID clear out my liquor cabinet and eat every scrap of food in the house, but I enjoyed the attention)
Some of those guys were still in, and would come and stay with me when they were on leave, and cry on my shoulder and ask my advice about their love-lives.
( REALLY awkward when I had an interest in the guy myself, but was too insecure to say anything)
There was at least one guy who figured that if he DID ask me, the others would beat the heck out of him...
