Weeeeell...I'm a professional R&B singer. At that time, I played guitar, bass, and keys - then eventually, I started playing keyboards in almost every band I was in, mostly because of necessity and the $$$ factor. I'm not great at it (I can comp chords and stuff, but I'm not a "real" keyboard player, like I am a "real" singer), so I was glad to quit doing it...I got tired of explaining that to other musicians. ("I'm not really good at this...I'm sorry!") : ) I do have and love a Yamaha Motif, however. (I've also got a nylon string Takamine with a built-in pickup and a cutaway, which is a wonderful guitar.)
I'm sure you're right about stripping a Paul. I thought he was nuts to do it, but he got lucky!
I shall GLOAT.
So far, you're the only ones to even mention images of my Napoleonic-statured personage.

I've always been told I 'look like a cartoon villain'.
Or worse, that I 'look like Gordon Freeman' from the game Half-Life.
But.. seems my gloat is over too soon.

(Though I have also been told I looked like the main villain character from the cartoon 'Gargoyles'.. The one that was voice by Jonathan Frakes.)
I am somewhat disappointed that I don't have any of the pics from when I was in uniform.
If I do have any, they're buried under something where I'll never look, and are not scanned.
(Did I mention anywhere that I really HATE having my picture taken??)

No, I don't really understand why I would feel differently about being sketched.
This was taken in August 2001, in hills of Bosnia just south of Srebrenica, very near the village of Zeleni Jadar.
I too absolutely HATE having my picture taken! The last time that was allowed,was 4 years ago,at my daughter's wedding and there was no way to get out of that.
