My three year old son LOVES the Pixies. I have a concert DVD of them and not only does he sing along, he mimics the whole show with an improvised "microphone stand" and toy guitar.

He makes me play the cds in the car ... when he hears Kim's bass rift he gets really excited and screams "Thats Kim playing bass guitar!" He likes the Dead Kennedy's too (an old favority -- I now hate their message but still confess to loving the music).

Glad to see I am not the only one "warping" my kid!

Ha Ha! That's funny, I had "Police Truck" cranked the other day while I was in the shower. My daughters were apparently in the next room dancing & bashing away at their air instruments again. I know this because shortly after the line "...well there's six of us, jack, so..." (you know the rest), my wife barged in, turned off the music and said "No way! NO Dead Kennedys! Our girls will NOT go to school singing Dead Kennedys!"

Other shorty faves include any Ween, Devo ("Blockhead"), B-52's ("Planet Claire"), Minutemen ("Toadies" - talk about bass line), and especially the Modern Lovers ("Roadrunner"). They listen to that song over and over again - thank God I love it. In fact, speaking of "Roadrunner" they listen to this Rhino box set with me all the time. I highly recommend it...
