There was an interview with Laurie posted on one of her fan sites (more than a year ago), and she mentioned that her grandfather is a Democrat. He has apparently been involved in politics somehow, but I have no idea what Laurie's political persuasion may be. She's probably a Dem, since there are other women there at Fox who have been mentioned to be Democrats (E.D. Hill, Kiran Chetry). It's hard to find conservative women in the field of news reporting. The real conservatives never make it to the big time, the climate is just too hostile for them.
