Plain and simple. For legal reasons. You see, if and when the documents are proven to be fakes, forgeries, if you will, then c-BS and Dan Rather have to disclose their source(s). Which then opens them up to the charge of illegally influencing a presidential election. ie: watergate. Only in this case its memogate.

They thought their old Vince Forster trick would work again. The same guy who claims this forgery is real is the same guy who said Vince Fosters suicide note was real. It would be nice to go back and check that letter once more.
