I watched them both make fools of themselves tonight. Williams was trying really hard to spin this story being about Bush not showing up for his physical. Brit Hume would have none of it.
You could almost say Brit B!tch Slapped him. Poor Juan was so disappointed he couldn't keep spinning.
And, Carl Bernstein, on Hannity and Colmes, tonight. I'm sitting there wondering why this guy is supposed to be so brilliant. They had might as well been interviewing Terry McAuliffe. Alan Colmes just sits there giving it the old DNC spin. Everything out of his mouth is basically telling the audience to shut up and believe what he, and the left, tells them to believe.
If this Bob Schieffer guy is a moderator, I think Bush should just back out of any debate he's involved in and say that CBS has shown an incredible lack of impartiality, and until the questions about their airing of false docs are cleared up.... Bush will not be debating in any forum where CBS operatives are acting as moderators.
Yes, that was hilarious. Poor Williams--I think he really doesn't care that much because it was clear that he hadn't even been following the story. I laughed when he said that the point was that Bush disobeyed an order to report to a physical when the whole purpose of that document was to "prove" that Bush was given such an order. It is ridiculous to assume that statements made in a forged document are true when the same forged documents are the only source of those assertions. Hume, sharp as a tack, blasted him immediately for that and you could see the other guys trying hard not to fall apart laughing. A great TV moment.
