Per the admitted forgery of May 19, 1972, Colonel Killian and Lieutenant Bush discussed options of how Bush can get out of coming to drill from now through November.

Hmm... How about a letter: "Sorry, due to circumstances beyond my control, yada, yada, yada, I can no longer attend drill."

It worked for me. No big deal.

I think the reason the leftist media/DNC keep harping on this (still trying to claim President Bush went AWOL) is that, otherwise, they'd have to look at Kerry's record. From the amount of stink they raise every time a Republican brings Kerry's record up (calling it "negative campaigning" and so forth), they seem to not want that to be an issue. They (DNC/alphabet media) would like us to know nothing about Kerry, his agenda, or his record, yet vote for him anyway.

Hooray for the Swift Boat Veterans! May they use my donation wisely!

A partial rundown of the September 15 CBS Evening News story
from Wyatt Andrews, picking up after he ran through the reaction
from Republicans on Capitol Hill and an overview of the charges
made by CBS:

Andrews: "Some experts doubt the authenticity of those memos.
Killian's secretary, in an interview for tonight's 60 Minutes,
tells Dan Rather she, too, believes the memos are fake, but
accurately reflect Killian's view of Lieutenant Bush."
Marian Knox, sitting in chair across from Dan Rather, with
orange background: "I know that I didn't type them. However, the
information in those is correct."
Andrews: "Marian Knox says Colonel Killian liked Mr. Bush, but
not his attitude."
Knox: "Killian was very friendly with Bush. They had fun
together. And I think it upset him very much that he was being
defied."
Andrews: "CBS News officials say the documents came from a
confidential source, and that they are certain the content of the
story is true."
Andrew Heyward, President of CBS News: "We would not have put
the report on the air if we did not believe in every aspect of
it."
Andrews: "But news President Andrew Heyward also says the
network will try to resolve what he calls the 'unresolved
issues.'"
Heyward: "Enough questions have been raised that we're going
re-double our efforts to answer those questions."
Andrews, with a CBS News control room background, concluded:
"Some at this network believe the backlash against the 60 Minutes
report is pure politics. But that's the critics' point as well:
That fake or real, the fact that 60 Minutes got these documents
during an election year was no accident. Wyatt Andrews, CBS News,
Washington."

And, at the very end of the CBS Evening News, Rather promised
"new" answers and "new" evidence: "And that's part of our world.
I'll be back shortly on 60 Minutes with new questions about
President Bush's service in the National Guard. We'll have some
new answers and new evidence on 60 Minutes tonight at 8, 7
central."

This should be no suprise since he was assigned to 9921st Air Reserve Squadron in Montgomery, Alabama from May 26, 1972 to September 5, 1972

He was never assigned to the 9921st ARS, his transfer to that "unit" was disapproved by ARPC. However since it was approved by his commander and by the "commander" of the 9921st, he had every reason to proceed as if it would be routinely approved at ARPC. In fact I believe, but an not 100% certain, that the 9921st wasn't actually the unit in Alabama. The ARS were paper units for holding reservists who would then be attached for training to other units, reserve, guard or active duty. I myself was in a 99xx ARS from early 76 to mid 77, but attached for training to an active duty unit at Offutt AFB (SAC missle facilities engineering, but IIRC part of 1st Strategic Air Division at Vandenberg). I'll have to recheck my paperwork, if I still have it, to see which 99XX ARS I was in.

Bush was rated on the F102 and the 102 is not a recon aircraft so even after transfer to the 187th Tactical Reconnaissance

It wouldn't have mattered if it was, as long as it was a different aircraft than the Alabama unit was flying. They were probably flying RF-84s at that time, as was my hometown ANG unit at about that time. Although it also would be close to the time they switched over to the RF-4, so it could have been either aircraft.

In any event, no ANG CO is going to spend his flying hour budget on a pilot from another state, so he would only approve non-flying equivalent training, which is what the record shows the CO of the 187th did.

I worded that badly..I just want to point out that Bush could not fly with the 187th Tactical Reconnaissance because they did not have 102's the type Bush was rated

I don't believe that there were ever any ANG 102 units

Somebody wheel this old bag back to the Sunny Acres Nursing Home.

"The forgeries are factually accurate". Give me a break.
