CBS faxes copies to home office in NYC.

When he was confronted with the story, Rather claimed he hadn’t realized beforehand that the event was a fund-raiser. One of the event’s hosts was Robin Rather, the anchor’s daughter and a “Texas environmentalist and marketing executive” who reportedly was eyeing a run for mayor of Austin.
