"""The Prowler" says the DNC and Kerry campaign had the forgeries 6 weeks ago. CBS had them 4-5 weeks after that. DNC could have tipped off CBS as to where to look, who to see.""

I'm curious as to what date is on the Washington Compost's Kinkos Fax. Have all the major outlets been sitting on these for six weeks?

The interesting thing will be the Kinko's phone records and fax log. Where else were they faxed to. Probably to everyone on the list at once.

Negative. The Prowler first reported AFTER CBS aired the story (look for "Anatomy of a Forgery"). CBS received the material about 2 weeks ago (a week beofre airing), send the docs to the WH, and the WH returned them (copied them in an e-mail "to reporters") without comment. USA TOday got a set of them AFTER CBS aired the story. USA Today may have received two sets, one from the WH, as part of the e-mail BEFORE CBS aired the story, but certainly a receipt of a set of 6 documents AFTER CBS aired the story.

The DNC and Kerry campaigns had the 6 (by now, 7) week "heads up," and scuttlebutt is that some people in those organizations were suspicious of authenticity.
