"Hats off to the man who fired her!'

I'm sure the kerry campaign agrees.

Gobbell said her former employer had told her she could either work for him or Kerry.

More to the story I'm sure. Sounds like maybe she was campaigning on the job and may had adversely affected the workplace.

I'm sure they do. They could put a Kerry T-Shirt on her and they've got a living bill board...for cheap.

I would hope the Bush Campaign supports property rights. She didn't.

Maybe Dan Rather can go work for Kerry too.

Well, if the story is true, then her former employer deserves to be sued into bankruptcy: when working there, she was selling her work, not her soul (or mind, or opinions). It appears that her former employer demanded way more than was due to him.

What relevance does her bumper sticker have to job performance?

If that's the only reason for her firing, then the boss shouldn't have done it. He should have shown her the error of her ways. I have to deal with a lot of Kerry supporters, and just try to be pleasant and defeat all their stereotypes of mean, racist, warmongering Republicans. Who knows, I may win one over.

Of course, if someone is stupid enough to support Kerry, is it even possible that she'd do a decent job or be the slightest bit responsible? I don't know, but I tend to think she should have been fired only for poor performance or for violation of established company policy or rules.

Good for Kerry--She belongs on his team. She was such a dumb-dumb. Knowing that she was going to tick off her boss and then complaining about the result--and seeking unemployment benefits to boot! Typical lazy Democrat. Kerry is getting just what he deserves--another "average American worker" who would rather live on the dole than turn in eight hours of honest labor!

If the guy is really that stupid, yeah, he deserves to be sued, but I doubt she'd get more than a few grand.

I'm willing to bet she did not get fired - words may have been exchanged and she may have walked out.

I don't see any effort in the print articles to contact the guy for his side.

There is a previous and only slightly more indepth article about this. One of the things she keeps saying is that her boss was trying to tell her who she could vote for which witnesses said was BS.

The owner did however say that she could not display a Kerry sticker in the parking lot he owns.

I'm betting that she was a less-than-perfect employee before this happened. She did something that she knew was going to tick off the boss. She called the press on it. She sought unemployment benefits. I'm betting that with an attitude like hers, this was the last straw on a long list of previous checks.

Besides, if she really had been such an innocent victim of discrimination, she would have gotten a legal-aid lawyer immediately, not a reporter. Furthermore, for some reason (perhaps a job performance record), her unemployment benefits are in question.

Well, I don't think it's right to fire her for her Political views. In fact, that probably opens him up to legal action.

She sort of looks like Michael Moore in drag, doesn't she? However, she's much thinner than MM!

Yes, he's a nut for deciding what kind of political advertising can be displayed on his property. So, I take it you would have no objection if the Kerry campaign were to put a sign up in your yard.

"property rights"

Your comprehension of the matter is zilch. The employer doesn't own the woman's car and doesn't own the woman. The employer violated her 1st Amend rights and 18USC245. She's now paid to go around telling her story about how some mean jckas R Bush supporter screwed her. How well that goes depends on whether Ashcroft's Justice dept acts in the matter.
