SECRETARY TO BUSH'S NATIONAL GUARD COMMANDER SAYS SHE DIDN'T TYPE THE MEMOS BUT THAT THEIR CONTENT IS TRUE IN AN INTERVIEW ON THE CBS EVENING NEWS AND ON 60 MINUTES Wed Sep 15 2004 18:57:00 ET

September 15, 2004

Marian Knox, the secretary to President Bush's National Guard commander, Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, says the content in controversial memos is true but that she did not type them. Knox, who said she was Killian's "right hand," appears in an interview with Dan Rather on the CBS EVENING NEWS and on tonight's edition of 60 MINUTES. A transcript of Evening News report follows. Transcripts of the 60 MINUTES report will be available later this evening.

My grandmother at the end of her 98 year Christian life would have confessed to killing Kennedy had Dan Rather phrased it properly. This is sick.

And if the right attacks a 120 year old lady? 'Well they probably want to take her medicine away too!'

I cannot believe that CBS is this stupid. I know they are rotten liars and everything else, but this is pure idiocy.

I suppose that this elderly secretary knew more about Lt. Col. Killian than his own wife and son. Good grief. Beam me up !!!!!!!

Question should be: "so who did you dictate the faux memos too, what version of MSWord was written in, how good is your memory, why did they use the PO# of a HALIBURTON business associate?

Dissect what rather keeps saying. The old fool keeps amitting the docs aare fake. He keeps repeating the word REFLECTS the feeling at the time. Mirrors, not the real thing.

Will the secretary help CBS to wriggle out of this scandal? The president's defenders are going to have to tread carefully in questioning an old lady -- even one who is on the record as having said that the president was "selected not elected."

Ya know, this is truly appalling. CBS and Dan Rather are desperately trying to cover their fannies - they are digging a deeper hole for themselves. How amazing is it that the Heyward would make the statement that the information in the memos was "accurate" (not that the memos were authentic) and Rather is interviewing an elderly woman who once worked for Killian and is trying to prove that although the memos may have been forged, the information in them was the truth!

"OK,OK, so the memos were faked, but George Bush still hasn't answered the questions of the charges raised in those forgeries!" These people are mentally ill.

Discussing this on FOX, as it broke, even Juan Williams called this totally unacceptable and unprofessional.

CBS is out there all by themselves.

I'm wondering how this 60 minutes show tonight passes the McCain-Feingold test. This is the equivalent of a network airing of a DNC propaganda commercial. IT IS ALL SPIN ON HEARSAY.
My favorite part is " well, it doesnt matter if they are forged, they still present questions that the president must answer."

She's still worried about Bush taking her Social Security benefits away and giving them to the rich people.

Every time I think Rather can't sink any lower, he just finds one more way to dig deeper.

ATTENTION FREEPERS-
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/nation/2796630

Knox (the secretary) has changed her story since last week.

From the article.
-Last week, Knox said she had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time with the Texas Air National Guard, although she did recall a culture of special treatment for the sons of prominent people, such as Bush and others.-
