Dan Rather To Bush: Answer The Questions
"With respect: answer the questions," said Dan Rather, the CBS News anchor. He was asking a direct question to President George W. Bush, his re-election campaign and his political allies in the press and on the Web. "Weve heard what you have to say about the documents and what youve said and what your surrogates have said, but for the moment, answer the questions.
"I say that with respect," he added. "Theyd be a lot stronger in their campaign if they did do that."
On Tuesday, Sept. 14, Mr. Rather remained steadfast despite a brutal onslaught of criticism from Bush defendersincluding Laura Bushcritics and competing news organizations over the authenticity of memos reportedly typed by Lt. Col. Jerry Killian, Mr. Bushs squadron commander in the early 1970s, which suggested that Killian felt pressure from his superior to "sugarcoat" negative evaluations of the future Presidents performance.
Since 60 Minutes reported on those documents on Wednesday, Sept. 8, their veracity has been assaulted by Web critics, politicians and document experts who put the burden of proof on Mr. Rather, his producers and on CBS News, and say that the reputation of the news organization is at stake. Dan, (hello), Bush did file FORM 180. Kerry didn't, won't, can't.
"With respect: answer the questions," said Dan Rather,
If there was any "respect" Blather wouldn't ask the question based on his fraudulent documents.
This lying POS is the one who should be answering questions.
"With respect: answer the question, Blather, Who gave you these bogus documents?"
What a slimeball.
Blessings, Bobo
Do I have such documents? No, but give me a few minutes...
:-)
I knew we were getting the upper hand on them - but I had no idea we had driven them completely insane over their growing impotence.
Local talk radio (Barry Young, KFYI, PHX) was just talking about an interview that Rather was doing with GHWB years ago.
I didn't hear what Barry said Rather asked him but GHWB's answered, "How would you like it , Dan, if I judged you by those seven minutes?" referring to the time Rather had walked off the set and wasn't there when he was supposed to be on the air.
Evidently Rather was furious with the question and extremely embarrassed and Barry thinks he's had it out for the Bushes ever since.

He looks like a psycopathic murderer in that photo.
Evidently Dan has never heard of hubris.
Looking forward to some industrial strength Schadenfreude
Gee...I wonder if there is a fake document out there somewhere that contains information that Dan Rather not only knew the Natl Guard memos were fakes, but that he helped produce them? That begs the question: "Did you, Dan Rather, participate in a conspiracy to change the outcome of a presidential election by knowingly deceiving the voting public with false allegations about the POTUS?"
Just answer the question, Mr. Rather.
Rather is an arrogant, conceited, lying, dishonest, caught-with-his-hands-in-the-cookie-jar prick. The jig is up for him. Not only should Bush not answer "questions" Rather "raised" with forged evidence, he should tell Rather to just plain F... Off. For heavens sake, is fraudulent journalism bieng worn as a badge of honour these days? Is Rather's world one we want to live in?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Do you have details on Mr. Rather's time with the USMC?
I may not be the first person to notice this, but isn't there a similarity between CBS's reaction to the Forgeries and the Nixon Whitehouse's reaction to the collapse of the Watergate Conspiracy. Specifically, Rather's reaction to the accusations is rather 'Nixonian'. I'm just lovin' it!
