Serbs are Muslims, are they not? This is like CAIR's 'outreach' to 'explain' Islam to the American public, then, is it not? Because OTHERWISE it would not make any sense, without a Dog and Pony Show to the Senators. gag

"Serbs are Muslims, are they not?"

Excuse me? What planet have you been living on? Majority Serbs are Orthodox Christian. There is a Muslim minority in Serbs (for example the majority Albanians in the Serbian province Kosovo). The war in Bosnia during the 90's was also between Serbs (Orthodox as I said above), Croatians (Catholics) and "Bosniaks" (Muslims). Maybe you should read up on the Balkans before you comment.

Serbs are definitely NOT Muslims. Historically they were all members of the Serbian Orthodox Church (now after decades of Communism probably a significant number are atheists).

In most of the former Yugoslavia, apart from Slovenia and Macedonia and the non-Slavic ethnic minorities, the people spoke mutually-intelligible dialects. Those speakers who were Orthodox by religion or ancestry considered themselves Serbs (or Montenegrins--sometimes considered Serbs, sometimes regarded as a distinct group); those who were Catholic by religion or ancestry called themselves Croats; those who were Muslims were referred to as Muslims (or Bosniaks if inhabitants of Bosnia--there are also Slavic Muslims in the so-called Sandzak, formerly a distinct region, now divided between Serbia proper and Montenegro).

Here is an interesting map of the former Yugoslavia with ethnic majorities in different colors as per 1991. Lots of things happened since...

Note, that the issues there are highly contested, lots of blood spilled, and I can't vouch for any info being 100% true.

 Anyway, for what it worth...
