wow...since I have never watched CBS much, I didn't know they had so much trouble with the truth and was more interested in turning people's opinion in their politics.

Happy days. Due to the bloggers and the alternative media, this garbage can no longer be foisted on us.

Great article!

Dan's partisan tricks shouldn't of been a surprise to any of us.

My "RatherNot" moment came the day after Clinton won the 1992 election. After months and months of claiming the economy was in shambles under GHW Bush, he appeared bouyant as he happily announced, "we have some good news for a change - Apparently the economy isn't nearly as bad as we thought it was."

The MSM insured the Viet Nam debacle. Nixon took the last US military units out on 29 March 1973. After this Senator Church along with other Senators guaranteed the Viet Nam debacle by opposing any air cover for the embattled South Vietnamese even though the NVA has changed the war by invading and invading with tanks. Then Congress refused to fund even band aids to the government of South Viet Nam.

Since then Rather and the other traitors have been trying to prove to themselves and others they did the right thing. They also want the war to be a blot on the American military.

The world has come full circle. Rather will be one of the last casualties of Viet Nam.

OK, CBS, if Vietnam Vets are all crazed whack-jobs as you portrayed in that documentary, why on Earth would we want one as President?

My prediction is materializing. Every CBS hit-piece for twenty years is going to be combed over with a fine toothed internet lice comb. Every pajama wearing blogger is going to use a database of a trillion documents, interviews, records, procurements, etc.... to revisit the facts on every CBS job. I sure hope CBS has a big legal budget for the resulting lawsuits.

Just WOW! CBS has really no clue how mighty the beast is that they awoke do they? Who runs that place? A bunch of eighty year old men with no clue about the information age in todays world?

The CBS name will morph into "Cremate, Bury, and Spit" and in that order too.

Steve arrived home "in a straitjacket, addicted to alcohol and drugs" knowing that "combat had made him different," Rather intoned. "He asked for help; that's unusual, many vets don't. They hold back until they explode."

Me thinks the Frequency has fried Kenneth's brain! The Vietnam veterans I've known, like the ones from other wars I've also known, are usually fairly mild guys who don't talk about what they did or saw, unless really provoked.

I guess Rather is experiencing a public who has held back for decades and just now exploded. It's just not over what he thought it would be. Talk about fortuna.........

Dan Rather obviously has a fetish about Vietnam. Wonder why?

Correction.......It's "Sumnbitch" A truely southern word which describes a form of a lowlife well below a snakes belly.

Neither could Mikal Rice, who broke down as he described a grenade attack at Cam Ranh Bay, which blew in half the body of a buddy, "Sergeant Call." "He died in my arms," Rice tearfully recalled. Rice described how the sound of thunder and cars backfiring would regularly trigger his terrible memories.

A grenade blowing a body in half? Mikal has been watching too many movies.

I stand corrected ('see how easy it is, Dan? LOL!). I cannot believe I ever trusted that clown. I am so embarassed. I am laughing to hide my embarassment.

And let us all never forget the nightly dose of Cronkite showing wounded & dead American GI's being carried to awaitng helicopters...

For the record, we never lost a battle in the Viet Nam war!
But SeeBS,NBC and ABC would have had the American public think different.

Semper Fi,
Kelly
