FYI Borders has a marketing/sales agreement with amazon.com.
Go to Borders.com and look at the top!
Amazon handles web processing of orders for Borders.com now. Some things ordered come from Borders stock, most from Amazon's now, in my experience. Borders found it decidedly unprofitable to compete on the web.
I've had mostly great experiences at Borders, thankfully. There are two in Madison - the one on University Avenue is, for obvious reasons, the more liberal and judgmental one, but the other one on the northeast side of the city is really nice and I've never had a problem finding a conservative book or magazine and the staff is as close to apolitical as I've seen.
As much as I usually like to patronize local businesses, all of the small bookshops in the area are freakishly liberal and I won't go into those anymore.
