To: Cincinatus' Wife
It's interesting. Little Professor Bookstore was a small chain with stores in Cincinnati and mostly in Columbus, Ohio where it was founded. It was owned by the daughter of my dad's best friend. His name was Guy - an Italian man who worked with my father as a machinist at White Castle Porcelain Steel Builders.
Guy introduced my Dad (a recently relocated boy from the hills of Kentucky) to this stuff he called "pizza" (in thois case - home made) in the late 50s or early 60s. My dad tells the story that that night when he got home, he told my mom and they looked up pizza in the phone book and found Luigi's Pizza in Hilliard. the rest - as they say - is history.
Best I can remember, Guy was as conservative as they come.
