Disclaimer: I'm assuming Burkett is the forgerer for the purposes of this post. He may not be.

The coordination seems to have been fairly overt between Heldt, Burkett and Rogers in 2000. I wouldn't be surprised if it was as overt between Kerry, the DNC and the forgerer here.

Heldt, Burkett and Rogers all used the same publicist for the October/November surprise. And Rogers almost looked like a professional DNC opposition researcher himself, putting out press releases in July and August. (It would be interesting to try to track the July and August 2000 media reports to see if his crap was reported) Rogers even may have drafted the Burkett statement.

The only thing I'm not sure of is whether Talion.com had definitive DNC ties, or they are just a bunch of crackpots.

Alternative theory: The Burkett-Heldt (an Iowan) connection has given rise to speculation that Harkin might have passed the Burkett forgeries to CBS and/or Kerry himself.
