My favorite moment in Coehlo's public life was when he rapidly exited the House after putting in enough time to get into top leadership - about three footsteps ahead of the House Ethics Committee investigators. I think he used the catchall excuse that he wanted to spend more time with his family - which is a pretty interesting sudden discovery after a guy claws his way to the top in politics.
