Don't forget the Washington Post and ABC collaborate on their national polling. They have a close relationship and I would bet they are sharing their reporting on this story. Howard Kurtz has been all over it in the Post. Mark Helperin, the director of the ABC News political unit, is probably the most honest and objective guy in all of the networks IMO. I think they are honestly shocked at CBS for its shoddy, at best, and deliberate. at worst, reporting of this story.
Maybe the Post can come out with a book: "All the Reporter's Men (and Women)".
