I heard Darrow on Belling's show yesterday, not impressed with his interview skills. Finance and name recognition is good, but unless he takes a crash course in debating and interviewing skills, feingold will win, if Darrow is the candidate. Charlie Sykes stated the dems were going to vote for Darrow in this primary. He is their choice to go up against Feingold.
Walrath 2 - 0 now... I'll bet Boehlert is just quaking in his boots... ROFLMPO ...
Sherry is leading, as is Kuhl
I like Reichert. After a long(ish) chat with him last August, even more so. Which is one reason I was concerned when he walked out of some forum (and yesterday/this morning I heard he'd done this more than once?).
I really like Luke Esser. Not just a good guy and effective state senator, we've dealt/worked with him on issues with bills before the legislature -- he's responsive.
I like Diane Tibelius. I think she may be the most liberal of the contenders, and certainly the one who looks most like Jennifer Dunn (;-), but she may also be the one likely to win by the largest margin in this increasingly swing district. Interesting point: While the rest are saying "We're not part of the Establishment," that's exactly what she's touting.
Conrad Lee I don't know, beyond hearing speak at conventions and his radio (KVI) ads. Learned today for the first time he is/was a Bellevue city councilman. Possibly a great guy, but late to the race and didn't fully get his message out.
All great candidates and I concur, I hope we see them again.
(OTOH, Herr Dr. Stark's campaign in the 45th is going to get precious little support from me if he wins the primary, due to his nasty hit-piece mailing on R rival Jeffrey Possinger as a low-down "trial lawyer.")

WOW! Isn't Tompkins County ~~~~~ Cornell/Ithaca? Or am I making that up? Walrath is cleaning up there.

I haven't heard much on Feingold's re-elect numbers.
I've heard idle rumors of a Dem cross-over vote for Darrow (can't remember his first name) cuz he'd be the easiest GOP'er to beat in November.
But you're right. Bumping off Feingold would be huge.

Yup, on Aug. 31st and Sept. 8th, because of "negative campaigning." Frankly, someone who can't handle GOP "attacks" has no business whatsoever entering a race against Democrats. What's he going to do when he gets called a Nazi or a Klansmanfold his cards, cash in his chips and go home? Thanks but no thanks; I happen to like bare-knuckled partisan politics, and I think we need more scrappers in the party, not fewer.
Channel 12 (WISN) and Channel 4 (WTMJ) now starting to show numbers.

I too heard Darrow on Bellings show. And he wasn't that great...but, he realizes this is a one-issue election. Patriot Act.
Feingold can policy wonk all day long about the percentage of medicare reimbursement...bottom line is the guy voted against the Patriot Act...all you need to do is hammer him on that...and Darrow has done so effectively IMHO.
Belling thinks Darrow is the strongest candidate to beat Feingold.....for some reason Sykes doesn't like the guy personally...maybe he was one of the 15% who bought a bad car (smile)
Yah, well, to quote one of the Governators movies "Ballsy. Stupid, but ballsy."
Well, it might not be stupid, it depends on how you look at it. Clearly, he really believed it was the right move. You don't need to take risks when you are up in the polls by 25%. Anybody who doesn't think he can take the heat doesn't know him. I believe him 100% when he says he did it to protest nasty campaigning. Also, I know several of his campaign people, and they said they got FLOODED with emails and phone calls thanking them for the stand.
Anyhow, as a cold blooded political operator, I don't like the move. As a person...I don't know what I think.
I STRONGLY disagree that Diane would be the one that would win by the biggest margin. Reichert is the Washington equivilant of Rudy Giuliani, and Diane is just...snippy, and arrogant from my point of view. I mean, I don't have any personal problems with her, but I certainly wouldn't pick her over Dave. If I wern't picking Dave, I'd go for Esser.
Your right about him. He's a good guy, and he's got a bright future, I just agree with Carlson on this one, not his time yet. Reichert just has too much star power, too much potential to be a superstar IMHO.
I wish Roger Stark had went back to challenging Inslee. I HATE Inslee. He's the worst. Stupid carpetbagging fool. He's almost as bad as Bagdad Jim.

I bought my truck from Darrow in West Bend, no problems. I just hope whoever wins beats feingold. Any one of them would be better than feingold.
