Allah Pundit makes a compelling case that the author of the CBS memo surfs anti Bush websites.
Why?
Well, the memo includes the wrong acronym 'OETR.'
People familiar with military technology suggest that the acronym the author of the memo meant to use was 'OER'--an abbreviation for 'Officer Effectiveness Report.'
An anti Bush website (found courtesy of Google) called 'The AWOL Project' lists a bunch of related documents under the title, 'The OETR Scam.'
Were sure it's just a concidence..

Can Dan Rather look any more foolish? Sheesh, this is the biggest hoax ever on a mnews outlet and Dan Rather doesn't even know it.
Oh vey, this could be hugh and series!
Rather is a big looser.
Dan is so convinced that the story is true that none of the facts matters. Did he learn that in journalism school or arrogance school.
;^)
All I gotta say is, "What publication (online or offline) is NOT talking about the Rather forgeries?"
I expect a new internet engine filter which will only allow registered republicans and registered democrats to log on in balanced numbers.
The internet is whackin Dan Rather upside the head like a freight train. It would be nice to go back to 60 minutes archives and start reassembling Rathers hit pieces on folks using the internet to requalify Rathers sources and evidence trails.
That aughta get the lawyers at Viacom worried.
I didn't find anything imparticular other than some of the documents have "oetr" in the file name. Does anyone know where these documents were originally released. I wanted to see if this guy changed the file name or whether they were release with what appears to be the abbreviation error in the file name.
Googling silk pajama monkeys!
Maybe it was different at a different time, or different in the AF, but in my time in the Army, it was not 'effectiveness' it was 'efficiency'. Are even conservative journalists are out of touch with our military, or was it actually effectiveness somewhere at some time?
hmmmmmm. I hope allah Time stamped and archived the posts. I wonder how long those links will remain valid. Those websites would be good places to lurk...
Great, Googling silk pajama monkeys!
Or, Dan wants the story to be true so bad he's blind to reality.
Heh heh! I love it.
Can we find out who this site is registered to?
Why? If their client wins they get paid, if their client loses they get paid.
Dan Rather got pwned.
"Why be ignorant when you'd Rather Google?" he,he,he....
