This post represents the closest I have ever come to throwing something at the screen of my computer.
Short of voting the bastards out of office (something most of these twits are unfortunately safe from, given their constituencies), is there NO way to prevent them from making such bald-faced, lying claims on the floor of the Senate/House?
As an 18-yr-old in 1978, I went from Dem to Pub over firearms issues (I remember shortage of 2" revolvers under Carter). I have voted Pub ever since.
The way I fight back is to introduce my kids and any willing friends of theirs to the shooting sports, from .22's to 45-70, single-shots to 20-round mags of .223. I have probably introduced the "light" to a dozen 18-22 yr-olds, who are now registered Pubbies!
Take a kid shooting. Not only does it promote the obvious benefits of firearms ownership, but it also encourages a healthy political outlook (likely for life).
